What you should know
Welcome supplies: what to leave? Nothing is compulsory, but a few touches change a guest's arrival — and their review. Our list.
The smoke detector. In a property let as a holiday or furnished rental, the owner must install, maintain and replace it (article R142-3 of the French Construction and Housing Code). We check that it works on our visits.
Second homes. Even without guests, a regular visit to air the place, collect the post and check that all is well saves you unpleasant surprises.

Do you carry out building work?
No, only minor maintenance. For building work, we bring in a qualified tradesperson, with your agreement.
Can you visit even when the property is not let?
